Born in Kansas City, Missouri, Cam Burns developed his musical talents from a young age, drawing inspiration from artists such as Cage the Elephant, Jack Johnson, and Paolo Nutini. After graduating from Lansing High School, he immersed himself in Kansas City's theater scene while crafting his unique Alternative singer-songwriter sound infused with rock and blues elements. Since age seven, Cam has received formal piano training from esteemed teachers such as Dr. Melissa Coppola and Nancy Mayo. He receives vocal instruction from his current mentor, Debby Lennon. He has also studied voice under the instruction of Dr. Jeffrey Carter and Vigthor Sjafnar Zophoniasson.

Cam is a junior at Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri, pursuing a double major in "Composition with an emphasis in Songwriting" and "Sound Recording and Engineering." Guided by his mentor, Dr. Melissa Bishop, who connected to Nashville's songwriting scene, Cam Burns continues to refine his craft and establish himself as a promising musical talent.
